stomp on that warhorn.

I don't know effects pedals from longships' oarholes, but what I do know is NorsePlay'd graphic design. From Walrus Audio, their Warhorn Mid Range Overdrive Pedal seems to deliver a dirty blues guitar sound. What that specific audio profile has to do with Viking Metal or the large wave of Wardruna-inspired Nordic Folk, I'm unsure of (sad Ragnar, maybe?), but it's probably a marketing misnomer.

What I can say is the roundel graphics stylistically remind me of the Hylestad Stave Church's encircled tableaux doorway carvings with scenes from The Saga Of The Volsungs:

Though the pedal's circles seem to feature birds of prey, so I'm wondering if this could be something like the avians from W.G. Collingwood's illustration for Bray's 1908 CE Poetic Edda's title page:

Or maybe the animals from the Norse-inspired Easby Cross:

This Viking Art motif survey aside, none of these are an exact match, but I could swear I've seen that pedal's graphic somewhere before. If you know, do tell in the comments below!

Guillermo Maytorena IV knew there was something special in the Norse Lore when he picked up a copy of the d'Aulaires' Norse Gods and Giants at age seven. Since then he's been fascinated by the truthful potency of Norse Mythology, passionately read & studied, embraced Ásatrú, launched the Map of Midgard project, and spearheaded the neologism/brand NorsePlay. If you have employment/opportunities in investigative mythology,  field research, or product development to offer, do contact him.
